Procore Workflows
Helonic is an AI construction drawing analysis platform for people comparing AI tools for Procore Workflows. Every tool here connects to Procore. They differ in where the finding starts, who checks it, and whether it lands as an RFI.
Published · Updated
If your company already runs RFIs, drawings, and submittals in Procore, the useful question is how a finding gets from the sheet into that record. Some tools review the whole set, some draft the RFI after a person spots the problem, and some only move markups. The step-by-step version of the Helonic workflow is in how to review Procore drawings with AI.
Full-set review that ends as a Procore RFI
Helonic connects to Procore, pulls the drawing set, and reads every sheet for 10 issue categories, including coordination, code compliance, MEP, fire safety, and missing information. Each finding carries a severity rating and the exact page location. A reviewer accepts or rejects it, and accepted findings push into Procore as RFIs with the sheet reference already attached.
Best for: GCs and owner's reps who want issues caught on the sheet and filed in Procore
Agents inside the Procore record
Procore AI became generally available on July 23, 2026 through Digital Coworker packages. The Pro package adds a Drawing Analyst agent that scans drawing sets and revisions for missing details, spatial conflicts, and scope changes, and the RFI Agent, included from the Starter Pack up, turns user input or project records into structured RFIs. Procore's published agent descriptions do not mention code compliance review, so test that on your own set.
Best for: Teams that want AI help without leaving Procore
Human-validated review synced to Procore
Buildcheck reviews 2D PDF sets across disciplines, and its experts validate each finding before delivery. Its Procore integration syncs those comments into Procore as coordination issues or draft RFIs. Buildcheck quotes 5 to 10 days per review, so plan for that turnaround.
Best for: Teams that want a person to sign off on each comment before it reaches Procore
RFI gatekeeping and revision changes
TrunkRFI watches Procore for draft RFIs, searches the specs, drawings, and past RFIs for an existing answer, and drafts a new RFI for approval only when one is needed. TrunkReview flags changes between drawing revisions. It works after a question exists or a bulletin lands, not as a first read of the full set.
Best for: Project engineers cutting duplicate RFIs and tracking bulletin changes
Model coordination linked to Procore
Revizto runs clash detection on federated models, groups clashes, and syncs them into its issue tracker. Revizto issues can link to Procore RFIs with synced fields, and Procore can serve as the document source for sheets. It needs a model, so it covers the scope your VDC team has modeled.
Best for: VDC teams running model coordination on Procore projects
Manual markup launched from Procore
Bluebeam Studio Sessions can be started from Procore Documents and Submittals, and from Procore Drawings through a beta of the Unified Viewer. Finalizing the session in Procore brings the markups back into Procore. A person still finds every issue, so treat it as the markup path, not automated review.
Best for: Live markup sessions on PDFs stored in Procore
A Helonic finding becomes a Procore RFI in three steps: pull the set, review the findings, push the accepted ones. Helonic connects to the Procore project and pulls the current drawings, so nobody downloads and re-uploads PDFs. The review runs on every sheet, not a sample.
Each finding shows the sheet, the location on the page, the severity, and the reasoning. The reviewer accepts real issues and rejects the rest, and only accepted findings go into Procore as RFIs, with the sheet reference already filled in. The full handoff is documented on the Helonic Procore RFI workflow page and the Procore integration feature page.
Run both on the same drawing set and count what each finds before you decide. Procore's Drawing Analyst is the lower-friction choice because it already sits in your Procore record, and it is included in the Pro package, not the Starter Pack.
Helonic adds code compliance checks, multi-model verification, and the same workflow on Autodesk projects. The head-to-head comparison is Helonic vs Procore AI. For a rundown of every Procore agent, read Procore's AI agents and drawing review.
Helonic, Buildcheck, and Procore's Drawing Analyst read the drawings. Trunk Tools and Procore's RFI Agent start from a question someone already wrote, and Bluebeam moves a person's markups in and out of Procore.
That split matters for RFI volume. A better RFI draft saves typing, but the RFI still exists because the drawings had a gap. Reviewing the set before bid or issue is how that gap gets fixed before anyone files a ticket. See best software to reduce RFIs for the RFI-only ranking.
Check what the integration writes back. Some tools create draft RFIs, some create coordination issues, and some return a marked-up PDF. Ask which Procore tool the finding lands in and whether sheet references come with it.
Then check turnaround and who validates the finding. Helonic typically returns findings in 15 to 30 minutes and leaves acceptance to your reviewer. Buildcheck adds human validation and quotes days, not hours.
Helonic pulls drawings from Procore and pushes accepted findings back as RFIs. Procore AI's Drawing Analyst scans drawing sets inside Procore, Buildcheck syncs human-validated comments to Procore, Trunk Tools checks RFIs and revision changes, Revizto links model clashes to Procore RFIs, and Bluebeam runs markup sessions launched from Procore.
Helonic has a native Procore integration. It pulls the drawing set from your Procore project and pushes accepted findings into Procore as RFIs with sheet references attached. Rejected findings never become tickets. Details are on the Procore integration page.
Procore renamed Copilot to Assist in June 2025, and Assist is now in maintenance mode. Procore AI is the replacement, sold through Digital Coworker packages since July 2026, and the Drawing Analyst is part of its Pro package. Procore Copilot alternatives covers the change in more detail.
Procore's RFI Agent turns user input or project records into structured RFIs, so it works after someone has a question. The Drawing Analyst is the Procore agent that scans drawings. Helonic reads the full set first, so the RFI starts from a located finding.
Bluebeam's Procore integration is a markup path. Studio Sessions launch from Procore Documents, Submittals, and Drawings in beta, and the markups return to Procore. The person in the session still finds each issue.
Milind is the co-founder and CEO of Helonic, where he leads product and go-to-market for AI-powered construction drawing analysis. He works closely with general contractors, project managers, estimators, and owners to understand how drawing quality drives project outcomes - and where AI can reduce RFIs, change orders, and rework. Milind has interviewed hundreds of construction professionals across project delivery roles, from preconstruction estimators at ENR top-400 contractors to facilities directors at institutional owners, and uses those conversations to shape both product direction and the way Helonic talks about the work.
How this page was researched: Listed only tools whose Procore connection we could confirm in the vendor's own documentation, Procore's support site, or a vendor press release in October 2026. Each tool is ranked by what happens to a drawing finding: whether it starts in Procore, ends in Procore, or never touches the drawing set. Helonic is our product and is listed first for drawing review; Procore's own agents are described from Procore's May 21, 2026 announcement and its Procore AI package FAQ.
