Helonic is an AI construction drawing analysis platform for teams researching software reviews during drawing review. Is Procore worth it? Our 2026 Procore review covers G2 and Capterra ratings, real strengths, cost growth and renewal complaints, and a verdict by GC size.
Procore is worth it for most general contractors running about $10M or more a year across several active projects, because unlimited users put every sub, designer, and owner in the same RFI, submittal, and drawing log. For a small GC running two or three jobs, the price floor and setup effort make the math harder.
Procore holds 4.6 out of 5 on G2 from 4,640 reviews (October 30, 2026) and 4.5 out of 5 on Capterra from 2,680 reviews (October 21, 2026). Reviewers praise centralized drawings, RFIs, and field-office sync. The most common complaints are bugs, slow performance, notification overload, and price growth at renewal.
Procore reviews are strongly positive overall, with value for money as the weakest score. On Capterra, 94% of review sentiment is positive and 1% negative, but value for money (4.1) trails ease of use (4.4) and customer service (4.5).
Ratings come from G2's Procore reviews page, Capterra's Procore listing, and Capterra's construction management category, all checked November 1, 2026.

Procore's biggest strength is that everyone on the job can work in it without a license count. That changes behavior: subs answer RFIs in the log instead of by email, and owners check submittal status themselves.
Procore's weak spots are cost growth, setup effort, and day-to-day friction. Because the fee is tied to annual construction volume, your bill rises as you win work, even if usage doesn't change. Procore's 10-K also confirms that unused volume is not refunded.
Contractors report renewal increases of 5% to 14% a year, according to Projul (a competitor), and CostBench reports implementation costs of $5,000 to $15,000 for smaller rollouts. On Capterra, mentions of bugs run 71% negative, slow performance 66% negative, and email notifications 59% negative.
The answer depends mostly on volume and how many outside parties you need in the system. The full cost breakdown is in our Procore pricing guide.
| Company | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Subcontractor working on a GC's projects | Don't buy yet | You can collaborate on the GC's Procore project under their unlimited-user contract |
| Small GC, under about $10M ACV | Often not | Capterra's $10,000 starting price is a large share of software budget; lighter tools may cover it |
| Mid-size GC, $10M to $200M ACV | Usually yes | Reported $15,000 to $80,000 a year buys one log for every sub and designer |
| Large GC or CM, $200M+ ACV | Yes, with a negotiated term | Pooled multi-year volume and renewal protection keep cost predictable |
Treat the first contract as the baseline for every renewal. A few questions save money later.

Procore holds the drawings; Helonic reads them. Procore manages versions, RFIs, and submittals well, but finding a duct that runs through a beam on S-201 still depends on someone catching it. Through the Procore integration, Helonic pulls the drawing set, reviews the full 2D PDF set in 15 to 30 minutes, and a reviewer accepts the findings that become draft RFIs in Procore.

Milind is the co-founder and CEO of Helonic, where he leads product and go-to-market for AI-powered construction drawing analysis. He works closely with general contractors, project managers, estimators, and owners to understand how drawing quality drives project outcomes - and where AI can reduce RFIs, change orders, and rework. Milind has interviewed hundreds of construction professionals across project delivery roles, from preconstruction estimators at ENR top-400 contractors to facilities directors at institutional owners, and uses those conversations to shape both product direction and the way Helonic talks about the work.
How this page was researched: Ratings were checked on November 1, 2026 on G2's Procore page (4,640 reviews, updated October 30, 2026), Capterra's Procore listing (2,680 reviews, updated October 21, 2026), and Capterra's construction management category for subscores. Pricing model details come from Procore's pricing page and its fiscal 2025 Form 10-K; renewal and implementation figures come from Projul and CostBench and are labeled as reported.
