When to Choose PunchIQ

Choose PunchIQ when the quality gap is field capture and closeout, not drawing-set review. PunchIQ is built for punch walks, QA/QC verification, pinning issues to drawings, assigning ownership, and generating reports. AI is used to structure photos, voice, and notes into punch items and QA records. That is a different job from reading a 400-sheet CD package for spec drift.

PunchIQ can run without an enterprise construction platform. Its site describes exports into Autodesk Construction Cloud and other project tools, plus published subscription plans and a free trial. Owner reps, consultants, and smaller GC teams who do not want another full PM seat often fit this product. It does not replace Helonic's preconstruction document pass or Procore's system of record.

PunchIQ is a poor fit when the main complaint is RFIs born in the CD set. Photos of installed work cannot fix a door schedule that never matched Division 08. Use PunchIQ when people are already walking the job and need a faster path from observation to an assigned, reportable item.

When to Choose Procore

Choose Procore when the company already needs one place for drawings, RFIs, submittals, inspections, observations, punch, and daily records. Quality and Safety keeps QA/QC documentation next to the rest of the job. That matters on projects where auditors, owners, and trade partners expect the official record to live in Procore.

Procore does not automatically read a 2D drawing set and flag coordination or code issues.
